Fred Marion Sparks Jr. passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013. He was born on July 10, 1950 to Fred Sr. and Della Florence Baldwin Sparks, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He married his best friend, M. Sue Lawless Sparks on November 10, 1988. Children are Melanie Sparks Smith, Lori, Lisa and Brett Buskirk. Fred had five grandchildren. Brothers Daniel Sparks, Thomas Sparks and sister Dorthea Sparks Pogue. He had fourteen nieces and nephews and eighteen great nieces and nephews. Fred loved life and lived it to the fullest. Fred was and enthusiastic cook and loved cooking for family and friends. Fred was multi-talented and spent his life as a musician, chef, photographer and insurance salesman. He never met a stranger and will be remembered as the big, jolly man with a beard. Christmas was his favorite time of the year and will be fondly remembered by many generations of children as Santa Claus. A private memorial is being planned for family and close friends.
